Where to go dancing in S.F.?

Girlfriend, myself, and a few friends want to head out dancing tomorrow night somewhere in San Francisco. I have a couple of other friends who are thinking about going to Ruby Skye tomorrow night, but I wanted a couple of back up plans just in case.

Techno or rap music preferred, but looking for a cool spot to have a drink and engage in some drunken dancing.

Edit: Okay, maybe I lied... I love to dance, but I am a 17 year old girl. I'm a ridiculous minority on ATOT.

If you have an even ratio of girls to guys in your group I'd recommend slide which is next door to rube skye. Rube Skye is all trance/techno so if you're into that great, otherwise check out Slide, Roe, or Fluid

Forget Slide... Overrated. Hit up Harlots if you have a good ratio of girls to guys. If you don't they won't let the guys in.

There is a new club in SF opening tomorrow called Atmosphere 3. It is in North Beach which isn't a great area but the club is really nice. Dress well if you want to get in. Top notch crowd and the DJ is excellent.

I guess we're just going to pick a place and hope for the best.

i sat next to one of their lady dancers at a wedding once. real interesting
job she had.

i suggest parking in the Sunset or the Richmond & taking Muni or a taxi -
straight to Hamburger Mary's at the corner of 12th & Folsom. then just
ask people.

i have the impression most of the dance clubs, straight, gay & bestial, are
South of Market.
