Where to go to meet people in SF?

I recently moved to the San Francisco area and I have no idea where to go to meet people. Where do people around here go to meet new folks?

Hee hee - I lived at 19th and Valencia for five years. Be sure to get a carne asada burrito at Taqueria CanCun (at 19th and Mission) for me!

depend on what scene you are into...taste in music,movies etc..if you just want booty, check out the clubs off howard in the financial district

By far the best carne in SF is Zona Rosa on upper haight st. near Mcdonalds.

I dunno about that - Zona Rosa is decent but I don't really regard it as an authentic taqueria. I went to Zona Rosa five or so times when visiting a friend in Cole Valley, but to me the Mission is the real destination for burritos.
