where to put my subwoofer?

Hey where is a the best lace to put a subwoofer?...under a bed, or next to you with the driver faving away?...i have the logitech x560 and right now the sub is rigth next to me, under a desk but the bass seems too "popy"...i think the driver needs to be facing away or it needs to be out of the way....hunts anyone?

In a corner is usually pretty good, facing the wall. That way the bass seems to resonate throughout the room.

it really depends, like if it is a front firing sub, etc. Generally they go up in the front, near or around the TV set.

If you have a square room, I would think you could put it almost ANYWHERE in the room. Just dont put it so that the driver is too close to a wall / object. Also, try not to put it in an extremely enclosed area, ie. under a desk against a wall, where the only opening is where your legs go

And make sure it faces a wall or the sound resonate. Facing air makes it sound like a pop.

I have a 12" 450 Watt sub (not meant for computers) and I have it the corner facing into the corner diagonally from the corner in which my computer desk is. It sounds very good like this and I have tried different positions for it.
