I would hate to see you RMA the board if something else is your problem.
Hi GD, BTW this is the second rig I was talking about putting together.
No I haven't tried that. For a second I was wondering what you meant by green jack. LOL I do have the case speaker plugged in and it doesn't beep or anything. This thing has given me a real PITA in past 24 hrs. I put it together and immediately had probs. It wouldn't let me boot from the CD drive so I couldn't install windows. I messed around with the boot priority list and got it to work, something I didn't have to do with the other A8N I have. Then when I installed windows, it locked up and went into some boot loops, once I got that fixed, I noticed that it had named one of the CDs to be the C drive and the HD was G. Before I could get that straightened out, it stopped recognizing the HD. Then it just stopped POSTing altogether. You turn it on, get the power led, the HD led flashes for a few seconds and then nothing. It just sits there, no beep, nothing on the monitor, nothing else. I tried swaping the PSU, that didn't work. I figured its not the HD or the Video card because it should still give me that POST beep even if they the problem.
Edit, don't get me wrong, if anybody has any suggestions, please speak up. its just that in my experience that if you can't get it to POST to the point that you can go into BIOS that its either the PSU or the Mobo. I've never tried this before but even if you didn't have any mem or a cpu, you should still get an visual error message on the monitor, right?
