I remember that I was in my eight grade classroom and the teacher turned on the TV and then she started to cry...it was pretty shocking at first as why she was crying but then another teacher came in and explained it to us

I was getting ready to leave for school. I was in my third year of Computer Science. I saw everything unfold on TV. As soon as the second plane struck, I decided that I wasn't going anywhere.

I could have been getting ready for work or driving on the highway when the first tower fell and glued to the office tv when the 2nd tower collapsed. The director allowed everyone to get off work for the day as we were near NY.

just waking up to go to work when dad walked in and turned on the tv... later on in the day I went into work and watched it all unfold at the NOC where the big screens are. My manager at the time was missing her husband who worked in the 2nd tower... he was ok though but we didn't know that till the end of the day.

I was in college at the time and had class that day. Was sleeping and just woke up, then heard on the radio that a plane crashed into one of the WTC towers. I got up and turned on the TV and a couple minutes later saw the 2nd plane crash into the 2nd WTC towers. Complete chaos and insanity. Of course all the school were closed that day.

I was in middle school. Somehow my teacher had heard that a plane hit the World Trade Center, and turned on the news. We saw the second plane hit live, then the principal announced all TVs were to be immediately turned off.

Some time later we were brought to the cafeteria, and told that there had been an attack on the World Trade Center using airplanes. Most of the kids had no idea what that was, but I did as I knew my uncle worked there. He then told us we were prefectly safe, and the school was going into lockdown. I remember thinking "how will locking the doors protect us from an airplane?"

Turns out my uncle wasn't in the WTC, he was in DC.

Yeah its not like I am remembering new things years later, and we have this thread at least once every 6 months.

That was a crazy day. I can't really say much, but 2 murdered out Crown Vics showed up at my parents house full of agents and my step dad was taken to private quarters for questioning. He's ex-military blah blah blah.

My mom didn't know what was going on & things were pretty chaotic. Once they figured out he wasn't involved, they dropped him off at home & that was the end of it. He never mentioned a word of the interrogation & from what I was told, my mom didn't ask.

She has since passed away & I'll never know what really happened, as he & I aren't on that level.

Where was I? I was at work, 60 miles away from the chaos at my parent's house. Drove down there immediately though to make sure my mom & brother were ok.

My brother described the scene though...8 suits outside on the front yard, 2 at the door & the 2 Vics out front, one blocking the driveway & the other in front of the living room window with both cars running. Whole thing happened in under a minute.

Got to school and they brought out TVs and no one did anything most skipped class for to watch it on TV, the entire study areas were packed with kids watching the TVs. We went from class to class and they brought TVs into most classes. Most teachers didn't teach anything that day.
