Ive seen lots of threads about moving to different places and stuff...
I then realized that where I live and was raised, is where I like the best.
I live in socal, where it never snows, always sunny. Its been like that all my life. If I want to see snow, I will go up to norcal.
I couldnt imagine living in a place like FL, because of all the humidity, and random rain storms. I couldnt imagine living in Boston because of all the snow. I couldnt imagine living somewhere like wyoming or montana because it looks like theres nothing to do there but farm
Is it like this for everyone else too?
I used to think that way... until I joined the Army and left SoCal. At first, I hated the South. Then, after living there for a few years I went back to SoCal to visit. I could not believe how unbelievably shallow, self absorbed and fscked up most of the people there were. When comparing the racism of the South, to that of SoCal it was no contest, SoCal was much worse. In the South, you know instantly who the racist is. In SoCal the racist dresses himself up as a tolerant person. In fact, of all the places I've lived, SoCal is the most segregated.
My skin dried out like a mummy's as well. Humidity is something you become accustomed to, same as the lack of it.
Now I live in IL. And I must admit, this place just sucks. I'd rather be in the South again, or worse yet, I'd rather be in CA again. :Q
