Where's all the GF4's ( ti 4600's )....?

I originally ordered mine in that Gateway fiasco on 2/22 then went to MWave.com on 3/6. The ship date has been changed three times and is now slated for 3/22. Maybe this is what I get for buying online but none of my local stores even stock it. Is there a chip shortage or excessively high demand?

Because of the capacitor problem that many were facing, the vid cards are being reworked with lower height replacements.
The card makers are trying to fix the problems that many were facing before they leave the factory.

Ok...I can appreciate that since I'm an Epox 8kha+ owner. Too bad I jumped the gun and replaced it with an Asus A7V266-E. Well, it'll be fun seeing which board will be faster with that GF4.

Listen, I don't know what the GF4/8KHA+ hype is all about; my VisionTek Ti4600 fits just fine in my 8KHA+, with approximately 1-2mm to spare between the closest capacitors! What's my point? You aren't necessarily "doomed" if you ordered a Ti4600 and are currently running an 8KHA+.

And, NO, I don't have one of the newer low-profile cap Ti4600's.

I hadnt heard anything about em replacing the boards with lower capictors. why the hell would they do that anyway? its epox who is out of specs not nvidia card makers.

Would be sweet if this is the case. cause i want one of those epox MBs. guess ill wait to get my card before i do.

can anyone confirm that the delay was cause by this?

I ordered mine from Electonics Botique online last friday and installed it on Wednesday. As soon as I ordered they changed shipping to backordered on the web page. My advice is to try everything. EBgames, Best Buy, New Egg etc.

I got mine today from compusa. They have the PNY in stock right now I am running mine at 310 core 710 memory. Just did my benchmark in 3DMark2001 SE got 11227 score with a P4 2.0 at 2.4.

I finally found one at a babbages thirty miles away. They just got a visiontek ti4600 in last night. They didn't know why, noone ordered it. After checking their website this am I saw that it said they had one in stock so I call 'em up first thing. They asked me if I wanted them to set it aside for me. Well, yeah...! I picked it up a half hour later and cancelled my online order which btw, sent me an email saying that they had no idea when they would be getting any more in. This card's awesome. Right outta the box, no tweaks, 3DM2K1SE: 10,262. An increase of 2600 pts. over my Visiontek GF3. That's on an AMD XP1900 running @ 1600 mhz.

Well I just ordered a gainward from Unitedmicro. Shipping says 3.22.02 so hopefully! I can wait though. Some of you seem very impatient though. I have a tnt2 ultra right now lol and you guys are bitching over waiting an extra week to upgrade your geforce 2 ti 200.
