I thought Crusader was Rollo? Wasn't he the guy that showed up when Rollo was getting roasted and said he had been lurking for five years without joining the forums, and decided he had to join to defend Rollo? I have always assumed they were the same person.
The mods have checked into my account many times and have found no evidence that I'm Rollo. Because I'm not.
If you petition the mods to check into it again, they'll prob tell you no because I've been investigated time and time again.
I'm not Rollo. I know hes like finding the holy grail to you guys.. but hes no longer posting here.
You can find him as a mod at Nvidias official forums and Geforce3d.net.
And I can tell you, if you wish to get his thoughts, or argue with him.. he wont ban you. He seems like a pretty good man to me even though he did lie here about being a member of AEG. He no longer is affiliated with AEG, and simply works directly with Nvidia.
He didnt have a choice anyway, because he never wanted to hide the AEG affiliation like the other members.. as he saw nothing wrong with it.
I dont either, its simply a way for Nvidia and ATI to have a direct connection with the fanbase.
Both ATI and Nvidia still have some sort of "street team" out there.. some of which I dont doubt are here in AT, right now. I'm not by the way, I simply lean Green due to their consistent product execution on both the driver and hardware side of things.
He was a great resource here because he can bench multiple cards, did custom benchmarks for people, and can forward driver issues ect to Nvidia engineering.
Bashing Nvidia and AEG is to bash ATI as well.. as they both do it. The shame is that ATI and Nvidia hide their consumer connection teams.
Sure, its marketing. But you cant stop it.. if you can tell me how.
The pros outweigh the cons anyway as you get direct connection to ATI and NV on the "hard questions" that people like Anand/Kyle Bennett cant ask because they dont want to lose favor with ATI/NV.
They start bashing too hard on ATI or NV.. they're business will start to falter because if ATI or NV gets mad enough.. bye bye advance knowledge and goodies to test that your opposition will get.
All in all, I dont mind direct Nvidia engineering connections or direct ATI engineering connections.
What I'd like to see, are the actual Nvidia and ATI engineers arguing online in threads.
Competition reveals the truth, and market competition reveals better prices. Kicking out or banning these people is a bad idea.
Let Rollo battle with Ackmed. Then the crowd can decide what the better choice is. Eliminating Rollo allows Ackmed to run this place full steam. Not good for the consumer.
