I've actually been reading anandtech since 2000, but never felt the need to post something until 2003.

I wasn't around when this Rollo guy was here but from what I've heard I think he would bring some action to this otherwise dead section. I check the video forum every half and hour or so and there never seems to be enough posts as the CPU section. In additionn, it seems like they are all about the same thing. I don't know how many threads I've read that have to deal with which 20" monitor some guy should get. Just my thoughts though.

What I don't get is that people complain about some much needed modding here in Video, yet also complain about how boring the place after people are banned and vacationed.

Maybe i just couldent be bothered to argue the same points over and over again. Or maybee i am now happy.

I would vouch that Rollo was Fallen Angel. his posting style was unmissable.

You, personally, have no idea for sure if Ackmed works for ATI or not. Though nothing of the sort was "insinuated", thats YOUR issue with reading into things. I'm merely stating both of them appear to be very vigilant in defending their preferred product lines.

Setting the record straight, Crusader, as discussed, is NOT Rollo. There never was a doubt as the styles are radically different.

Rollo was not banned for being AEG. Rollo was finally banned for some really a**hat comments, which with all of the other complaints, a vacation or two, and baggage, were the tipping point.

Much better. He was so unrelenting in his pro-nvidianess even when they had the horrible fx5x00 I used to always wonder, "is this guy a paid shill?" Now of course we all know.
