I have the BenQ you're looking at. The only thing I can find to complain about it is there's no USB hub built in. The quality of the display is very good... there's some slight bleeding around the edges but it could be much worse. It's also on the low end of the scale as far as power consumption for 24 inch LCD monitors, with a maximum of 55 watts.

Well most reviews on newegg are full of idiots.

If the sammy/benq are the same price or less than the Acer, no reason to get an Acer.

Mine (the BenQ) gets a lot of gaming use and it works nice. I think ghosting is pretty much a thing of the past. It supports 16.7 million colors, so you won't see any banding like you will on 16 or 16.2 million color displays. The contrast is nice... when you're looking at something dark on the screen, you really feel like you're looking at something dark rather than wondering why you can't make out detail and then realizing, "oh, it's supposed to be really dark even though it looks grey and washed out." The brightness is good, though the room I have it in is always darker than most other rooms so I can't tell you how it does in bright sunlight or direct sunlight.

Another vote for the BenQ G2400WD.. it's one of the best gaming monitors out there. I love mine.

I don't really need a 24" right now, but that Benq looks good for the $271. Tax money coming soon hmmm...

These are TN panels. SVA ran a panel lottery with these and only the first batch that people got (during BF i believe) were MVA. Check FW and SD threads related to this SVA and you'll see.

That's killer. Tiger's a reputable vendor too (so far as I know). About time less expensive non-TN panels started coming around. Not necessarily good for gaming but fabulous for anything else. Including motion video.

I wouldn't buy from Tiger on priciple alone. They're good about taking your order and charging your credit/debit card and shipping the items... but they've swindled me out of about $60 or 70 in mail in rebates. Their customer care department is not very caring... they basically told me if I couldn't prove I mailed in the rebate, they can't help me. I will never buy from them again for that reason.

This thread got me to buy a new 24" monitor. I wasn't really looking. The struggle was between 1920 x 1200 and 1920 x 1080 for me. I ended up with the 1080P, it's still big enough I guess and that's 230,400 less pixels for the 4870 to push. The Benq looks like a great monitor though, if the Asus wasn't $249 and free shipping I would have probably gotten it as a second choice.
