Which 27" flat-tube tv should I buy?

I'm looking to buy a 27" flat-tube tv, and was hoping to get a few opinions from people who might be familiar with some of these models (or have suggestions for other models). I don't have a need for an HDTV and would like to keep it in the sub-$350 range. Also, don't plan on hooking it up to speakers, Here's the three I'm presently considering:

JVC for $279:

Sanyo for $220 (at Walmart):

I saw the Sanyo, and the picture looked really good, but I haven't been able to find too many reviews.

I'd buy the Sanyo for $220. It will last you until you DO want to buy an HDTV set, and for $220, it is a good deal.

i know its not on your list but 2 years ago i bought a 27" Samsung EDTV and i think it has an awesome picture. I paid $450 for it.

Lower prices on TVs means cheaper components. Lower grade electrical and electronic parts means greater chance that these parts will fail.

Bottomline: Do not buy these TV's. Wait, Save some money and get yourself a SONY.

My Wal-Mart used to have a 27 inch Orion for 180 bucks.

The JVC F-series have a better picture quality than even the WEGA's IMO, so that JVC would be my choice. They have a suprisingly bright and clear picture...

Also, use the component inputs...

Have seen it in person and liked the picture quality and the looks (looks better than Sanyo)

I just got my Grandma a 27" Panasonic Tau from walmart, very nice tv.

Yep, I have one. Its a great TV. Nice clear, sharp picture. I haven't had any problems with it.
