Which Asus board to get?

I have an Asus P3B-F that has gone south for reasons unknown. It is still under warranty but I figure that if I have to replace the mb I should replace with a newer board to set myself up for my next upgrade. I've had this system for about 10 months so it won't be long. I have a P3 450 so my question is which Asus board would I be best to go with to use with the 450 and that will let me move up to the 800 range in the not to distant future. The only other requirement is at least one ISA slot for my modem, no cable here. Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can give me.

P3B-F is an exellent board. What do you need?. Performence?, stability? BX chipset boards have the highest performence but the cost is high AGP bus speed if you plan on overclocking. With a VIA or 815 board you'll have the 1/2 AGP divider witch make o/c much easier but you'll loose some performence. My recommendation would be either ASUS CUBX or Abit BE6-2.

My number one priority would be stability Rickard. I had no stability problems with the board untill it malfunctioned. My thinking is that if I am replacing the mb it would be smart to move to a newer model that would make any future cpu upgrades easier.

yup. CUBX is the best asus bx board. If you don't like the oc'd agp bus i highly reccomend the P3V4X. still the best and fastest via board for the P3.

p3v4x or cuv4x, asus cubx is a great board too however it's lack of fsb and it;s just pc 100
