Which Asus Board?

Ok, I am looking to upgrade my motherboard from the ECS k7s5a, and have decided on an Asus board.

Here is what i have:

1700xp (1 year old)
2 256 mb pc 2100
20 gig HD
Geforce 3 ti 200
Audigy Platinum

I need an onboard Lan for my cable modem.

I am debating between the following:

a7v333

a7v8x

a7n8x

I plan on upgrading my processor in the fall, and probably memory at the same time (unless memory keeps dropping making it a no brainer to do it sooner).

Would i be better to go with the cheaper Mainboard now, and wait until the next generation of stuff in the fall for my main outlay, or should i splurge on the mainboard now, knowing that i can upgrade to a 2800 or faster Athlon down the road?

Well out of the motherboards you have listed the Asus A7N8X Deluxe is the way to go...Nividia nForce2 is the only way to fly with a AMD platform...I have one and love it...few quicks, but fast, stable, loaded with features, excellent sound. Easily the best chipset for AMD...IMHO...

I would go with the nForce chipset motherboard. You also said you need an onboard NIC and the A7V333 doesn't have one, at least mine doesn't. The nForce2 chipset will also let you use 166 FSB like the A7V333 can for you future CPU upgrades.

Thanks to you guys for answering, You just confirmed what i was figuring, better to spend an extra $$$ now for the better board, with better upgrading capabilities.
