Ugh, yeah, that's the one. Saranac India Pale Ale. Disgusting.

I tried New Castle and wasn't a fan. I hate Pabst Blue Ribbon and Milkwalkee's Best. My dad drinks those... they're horrible.

I hate macro beers that pose as premium like guinness, amber bock, heineken, etc. And of course you standard budmillercoors just plain suck.

OP what do you consider to be a sweetened beer? I cant think of any beer that is sweetened right off hand other than some lambics which I doubt you've had.

Personally I love a good stout or something belgian. Fantome saison is one of my favorites.

well, sweetened beers that come to mind include lambics, left-hand milk stout (they add lactose as a sweetner; although it isn't that sweet and is actually delicious) I've also had beers brewed with maple syrup, or vanilla, maple (the wood itself used to flavor). These are sweet, but the differences are vast. The beer made with maple syrup was Samuel Adams Triple Bock which was terrible, the others were quite good. Like Dogfish Head Immort Ale I couldn't have more than one or two, but it does taste good.

beers I hate include most light beers although Sam Light is palatable, corona, most fruit beers, but there are exceptions (Sam Adams Cherry Wheat). Heinikin, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, the list goes on, I've tried over 200 beers so I hate quite a few

Ohhh good call I forgot about milk stouts! Anything that comes out of DFH is fantastic it seems heh. I'm wanting to try to make my own batches of midas touch and 120 minute soon.

It's been 8 or 9 years since I've had a mass produced domestic.
There are a number of fine microbrews and (whattya call medium sized) brews.

Leinenkugel's (sp?) is not bad and quite cheap. Sierra Nevada... too... come to mind...

oh man, but there are such great domestics... you have Stone brewing, Rogue, Flying Dog, Sierra Nevada... the IPAs from these companies are far better then most imports. Oh, I left out Smuttynose too, they are really becoming good. Oh, and DFH is amazing, I love the 90 minute IPA and the 120 isn't bad either

Plus, what beer lover doesn't like a good barleywine, or american stock ale? These are good classics

ummm, so you believe that all imported beers are stouts or porters. the VAST majority of beer styles, US domestic or imported, are translucent.
