I might end up having to switch from Firefox, and I've used it since V0.7. They're taking the Gnome approach, and removing customization to dumb it down so the lowest common denominator won't break it. I don't know who these people are that break their browsers, but they should just sell their computers, and get iPads(shudder) instead of inflicting their idiocy on us.

Hopefully addons will fill the missing functionality, but I don't like core functions being replaced by hacked together bits that may not be around in three versions. I'm not sure what I'll use if Firefox becomes unsuitable, maybe Seamonkey, but Seamonkey's no Firefox :^/

So what makes Pale Moon different to Waterfox and Cyberfox. Anyone used them all and decided which they prefer over Firefox?

I have used Pale Moon now since yesterday and I don't yet see any performance improvement over Firefox. I guess I'll try the other two for the heck of it.

Pale moon taks the source code of Firefox and improves on it with new features such as support for Mutli core processors and advanced cache i guess

I switched back and forth between FF and Pale Moon and came back to Pale Moon every time

the difference in speed was measure loading sites using:

Firefox at home, and at work for misc stuff. Sadly the standard is IE6 so I have to use that for lot of stuff since it wont work in anything else.

I don't use Windows, and I'll bet the current forks follow Firefox''s design changes. Don't know for for sure of course, but I'd be thrilled to see an ungimped fork released. I haven't complained about their changes so far because I can change them back. Dropping the statusbar was closest to getting me bitching, but as long as there's an addonbar(there isn't in Australis) I'm happy enough.

Removing features isn't a feature. There's already a Chrome, and the main reason I don't use it is it can't be customized. Firefox has been aping Chrome for awhile, but removing features to be more like it is too much.

I suppose I could learn some coding, and fork it myself instead of bitching. I may give that a try, but I think that would be a bit ambitious for someone who doesn't know anything.

Used to use Opera a long time ago before it briefly would not work with gmail, then switched to FF. Used FF until 2 years ago when I lived in a remote area on radio internet and Chrome was noticeably faster than FF even with the fasterfox plugin. Have moved back to where there is real broadband and continue using chrome for most stuff but also have FF set up in paranoia mode for more shady browsing.

Firefox/IE/Chrome/Safari/Opera(+iOS Safari/Chrome & Android Browser/Chrome) for Web Designing/Work.
Android or Windows Chrome for Home.

Use Portable Firefox in a Truecrypt container on the Laptop. Have Firefox installed locally too with no add-ons so I use that in case an add-on is causing problems plus you need a default browser installed and I refuse to use IE. Never had a problem with FF and if I do I can fix it. How do you fix IE? Upgrade or uninstall? Can't uninstall IE that would break a lot of things.

Using Waterfox currently, might look into Pale Moon.

Waterfox seems to load faster than Firefox, and there are 2 icons in my taskbar so I can always open another Fire/Waterfox window just by clicking on the other taskbar icon.

I've been using Opera for maybe ten years. It's FAR from being perfect, and bastards have history of releasing updates in similar way Creative does drivers, BUT it's still the best choice for me for various reasons:
Firefox just looks too cartoonish and has absolutely horrible, illogical and awkward options system (and I didn't even mention the bookmarks).
IE is probably the most compatible of them all (to be honest I don't give a shit whether it follows standards or not, to me as a user the most important thing is to have a site work properly and I don't care how it's done), but it has absolutely no functionality at all, and generally is not even worth mentioning.
Chrome is just... WEIRD. I don't like it, and over years I grew strong distaste towards Google. I had to put up with all sorts of weird behaviour in my former job where women kept installing it despite company's policies, and I was ripping my hair out, because things just didn't work like they were supposed to.

What else is there? Nothing I guess (unless you are a damn hippie and feel special with Silverlight or something ).

Waterfox doesn't get updated enough.

I have used Firefox for years but now it is very slow, especially when watching multiple Youtube videos. They skip. I have the NoScript add on with it.

Firefox is the best hands down. Best layout, fast, stable, has adblock, and doesn't track you.

Internet Explorer is notorious for random crashes, doesn't have adblock, and the layout sucks.

Chrome might be fast, but it's layout sucks, and it tracks you.

I played with Opera in the past, but nothing can beat Firefox.
