Firefox is my everyday browser. I use it with ad block and do not track add-ons.

Opera master race reporting in.
Yep. Though the upcoming Opera 15 looks to be a disaster due to currently only being a Chromium clone. If I wanted to use Chromium, I already would be. But we'll see how it goes. Some old skins are still working with current Opera, so that's good. Otherwise Opera would look as boring as Chrome.

My second favorite is Firefox, with auto-updates turned off.

Chrome always seemed... lacking. Good for basic browsing, I guess. I don't care if it's 1 millisecond faster than something else.

Honorary Mention to the new Maxthon. Kind of interesting, and has lots of toys built-in.

Everything is better than IE, everything sans Safari

Chrome. FF is crap. It looks like crap, it works like crap unless you throw on 200mb of addons. Of course its just my opinion and means crap.

Fixed since the word "crap" doesn't appear to mean what you think it means.

I still use Chrome occasionally just to see how it keeps up as they update it, but it's Firefox 95% of the time. And Aurora on my phone, too.

Right...

Chrome is basically the noob browser that in turn tracks you. It's got speed, but so does Firefox.

Firefox has the looks, the speed, the security, doesn't track, and the best addons.

I always used FF but just switched to Chrome. It is definitely faster and the built-in Flash plugin crashes way less than the FF plugin. Also you can change the audio-output device on-the-fly. In FF you always have to reload every page which is currently viewing Flash content to apply audio-output changes. Kind of bugged me...
Though I must say that the addons for FF are better and it is more customizable. But then again I try to keep my browser as minimal as possible so no more than 3 addons - and there are equivalent addons for Chrome for my needs.
I like both browsers

Safari on my Mac, Firefox on my Winbox.

Fundamentally, I like Opera. I have repeatedly tried to switch to it full time. But I just don't like the way it manages bookmarks.

Chrome would probably get me it if weren't for the fact that you can't hide bookmark/folder icons in Bookmarks Bar. Annoys the shit outta me.

I've been on Chrome for a few years now, I'm curious as to how Firefox has changed since I last used it.

Probably has improved a lot.. it has added a ton of stuff in the last year. Won't hurt to test it out.

Only IE.
I think Google is just plain Evil and the coding they do is full of holes. I have tried other programs written by google and they are all junk.

This is my opinion.

FF is the best, IE10 is slow for me...

Came
IE is slow for everyone not running CPU/GPU benchmarks on it, and has been since at least version 8. 10 keeps up the trend of having a nearly-nonresponsive, UI.

Still using Chrome, but that might change as the GIF support is getting iffy. At least when there are lots of GIFs, Chrome decides to stop loading them or just displaying the first/last frame. The hume thread in OT really brings it to it's knees and I either have to load gifs in separate tabs, or load the whole thread in FF.

I know it is the universe's way of telling me not to waste my time on that thread, but it translates into browser disgust.

typically have to re-ghost the os about every 90 days due to spyware, virus, or whatever else. that means bookmark needs to be easily managable.

google's managing (adding, deleting, revising, organizing, backup, restore) of bookmark is a piss poor compare to explorer's (drag, drop, folder, rename, individual file). the biggest kicker is backing up bookmark. chrome export it to a html file. wtf.

so back to i.e. explorer.

-----

this does not go without saying.
chrome is a little snappier when surfing.
not fast enough to have to deal with the short comings.

Weird. Part of the reason I have stayed with Chrome is because in my version of the scenario you describe, it is great that my bookmarks are there after signing in to google. I am no bookmark junkie, but they are always there after I type my google password, no need to export or import, just there.

Try using an antivirus? I highly recommend Avira.
