nah, they revamped the front to look like a coupe. The sedan is 3Gs cheaper upfront and probably cheaper to insure.

Of course I'll get a qoute on both, if it is the case that they're almost the same, then maybe I will go with a coupe. The one thing nice about sedans is cops don't hassle you as much and it's more sleeper.

Even with a supercharger that seems unlikely. A G35 Coupe runs a quarter in like 14.8, right? A new cobra runs it like 13.0. I guess it's possible... How much did he spend supercharging the G35?

No, hell V6 accords are high 14 second cars these days. I think the G35 coupe is low 14s. Don't know how much he spent on the supercharger, I can ask if you care enough. I'd imagine something in the 3-4K range since that's how much most superchargers cost.

He says the car beats Evos and STIs pretty easily.

An Evo or STI isn't in the same league as a supercharged SVT Cobra pushing 390hp and going 0-60 in 4.5s and quarter mile in 12.7s.

I can finally have a biased vote! GTO for me...but without the great price that I got and just buying a car, I'd probably have to think long and hard between the rex and GTO...I'd like to consider the S2000, but it wouldn't be a very practical everyday car for me...although it would be just great to have when you need to swing around a very hairpins.

All in all, just depends on your driving style and what you look for a car to do...in the GTO, I plant my foot and it somehow makes my smile widen every time

Umm, the coupe and sedan are practically the SAME CAR, esp. for 2005. Same wheelbase, same engine, same power output, and the sedan weighs 200LB less, is $500 less a year to insure, and has more room for friends.

So err, why is the sedan horrible?

Not according to Infiniti's web site:

Sedan Auto: 3,468 lbs
Coupe Auto: 3,486 lbs

Sedan 6MT: 3,512 lbs
Coupe 6MT: 3,512 lbs

Maybe earlier years were different?

I am just talking lookswise

but you are right the 2005 sedan does look decent but the 04 Coupe still looks the best and the 04 sedan to me is still horrible

04 G35c > 05 G35c > 05 G35 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 04 G35

Well, if you are 19 years old with 3 speeding tickets and an at fault accident then I'm sure that insurance rates on any of these cars would suck donkey balls. Insurance on the STi for me is $770/year. 37 Y/O, no tickets, no accidents.

ya here in NJ i have one at-fault ticket (where i totalled my car), but never got any other tickets or anything, and insurance spiked up from $3k/year to ~$6k/year on a '93 maxima...

i was told that after two years the price hike would disappear, we'll see in 9 days..

Hah, if ya read my post on pg1, I felt the same way bout it!

edit: Looking at the poll, I'm surprised Mustang is ahead of the Lancer.

Not a chance, that's why it's in a different league. But some goon was still saying a G35C was faster, which it isn't.

To those interested in the new Mustang GT I went to the Ford Racing Event two weekends ago and drove the new one on the Kentucky Speedway. WOW. Now that car has some power. I used to drive a 300hp Transam and this car would have smoked that one. It felt like a rocket when I put the gas to the floor. I had it going 70mph in 2nd gear running about mid 5000's rpms. The car feels and sounds great. I'm highly considering picking one up. I've driven an WRX and a Lancer and none of these compare to the Mustang. You have to rev those little engines up so high to get any real power out of them. YMMV.
