Go for the Lancer if you're not planning on adding mods

How much is the Honda S2000? If it's cheap, go for that, and add some mods, i love that car when it has some nice mods on it

I would have trouble deciding between the Maxda RX-8 and the Suburu Impreza WRX STI.

Hey, if you want a more classy car, get a used BMW M3 or used Mercedes AMG (C, SLK, CLK, possibly E) would work as well. Very nice performance and luxury, but check insurance. BTW I have a MB, and insurance is very good. A two seater car with four airbags looks nice on the insurance paper, so I pay about 900 bucks a year for everything. Not sure about the AMGs and M might be pricey, but nonetheless at least drive one!!

no way can a maxima compete with a wrx sti, evo, s2000, used AMG, M3 or others. Wrong class to put it in. Less "image," factor, and not as good performance.

The car feels and sounds great. I'm highly considering picking one up. I've driven an WRX and a Lancer and none of these compare to the Mustang. You have to rev those little engines up so high to get any real power out of them. YMMV.

Have you driven an STi? That car has so much more power than the WRX. STi is as fast if not faster than the new Mustang, handles better and brakes much better.

No car can compare to my bicycle. For $15k, you can buy the amongst the best in bicycles, the Pinarello Dogma Ego.

do you have your own small business/or a job that pays 200k+? if not, i suggest you buy a beater. after all, cars are meant just to get to point a->b and back. dont get enslaved by mr. loan man. i did it once, an i hope i never do it again.

Sounds like you were suckered into buying a GM...

Cars are so much more than a means to get from point A to point B. I am a car nut. I can't imagine driving a vehicle like you describe...oh wait, I've driven vehicles like that. All it did was make me long for a fun car.

All these cars so awesome, I'd have a hard time picking which one I'd want.

Election results are in, you might want an Echo instead.

Only a handful of foriegn cars catch my interest. I'm actually more of a domestic (primarily GM) fanboy. No way in hell I'd get an Echo, let alone any other toyota.

I see what you're saying, but in my opinion, it depends on the person and his likes and wants. In my case, I like cars, and I want a GTO.

But I'm still in college, so I have time to save.

i also was a car nut until i realized that driving a 'nice' car to and from work, sitting in traffic for 1 hr a day, and typical trips to the grocery store, friend's houses, etc... is not worth my 8hrs a day for a few years sitting in a cubicle. ill find a cheaper hobby.

It'd be a tough call between the STi and a Mustang GT. The GT should be a few thousand dollars cheaper, though, so that might sway the decision.
