Which card is better? (old-school comparison)

My friend has a Geforce2MX 32mb/ram, I have a spare Geforce 1 w/ 32mb of ram lying around. Which is faster? b/c if it's mine, i'll just give it to him.

If it's a DDR GeForce1 --> should be slightly faster.

Yep, DDR should be a whee bit faster, not worth even changing if the sysetm is setup with the MX already though...

Yep, DDR is faster but like Jonny said, won't see much if any difference in real-world performance, just benchmarks.

In LOWER resolutions (like 640/800) the MX should be faster, but at 1024 and above the DDR should be faster. Keep in mind that the geforce 1 sucks power and creates quite a bit of heat though.

The MX is better because it uses less power, runs cooler, has a slightly better feature set (since it is based on the GeForce 2), and it overclocks nicely. Make sure your friend has upped his memory speed to at least 200.

Performance wise, they are almost the same.

Yeah it depend on type of RAM. I would test to see which run at higher clock setting. Plus, you could do some benchmarking to see which you prefer.
