Altima is a sportier more aggressive styling than the Camry/Accord in that budget range, so naturally the douchbags gravitate towards it.

Agree 100%. I'm also a little jaded since my fiance's ex was a douche that got her to buy that car for him. He was incapable of paying for it so she got stuck with it and now it's her car. This also brings up the question why women fall for douches that can't take car of themselves, but L&R.

See here's the thing... the person in the integra is just a ricer... posting about it and pointing out you were driving your "Camaro" kind of reinforces that camaros are douche cars

I don't follow your logic. I was minding my own business, driving normally, following traffic, in a 35mph zone. He's the one who weaved through traffic and acted stupid.

I mentioned I was driving my Camaro because I doubt he would have acted that way if I was driving my Trailblazer. But because I was in a sporty car he apparently felt the need to prove something, or show off, or something, like a typical ricer idiot.

Toyota Corolla S drivers are almost always terrible drivers.

SIDE SKIRTS MUTHAFUCKAAAAAAAAAA

HAHAHHA I know, it seems like all Corolla drivers around here, ESPECIALLY the 'S' ones with that horrible ground effects plastic, are freaking maniacs behind the wheel.

the most recent super douche I've known drives a '12 Audi A4 though. I *almost* felt bad for him after I let him do about $5k+ in damage to his car doing something retarded that I could have let him avoid. But no, I was happy.

i'm considering a G37 and someone mentioned its a douche car. i didnt think this qualified as one. i can see cars like M3, Prius, Escalade, Yukon, or Fusion being douchey cars. what do you consider to fall in this category? Mustangs and Camaros fit the bill too.

How is a fusion a douche car?

How dare you mention the name of your car in a car thread!

Douche cars = any driver that's a douche. That said, here's my list:
  • Any vehicle that's too big for their driver to properly manuever
  • Any vehicle that has poor mileage/power/weight ratio
  • Any vehicle with stickers...lots of stickers
  • Any vehicle with loud exhaust (yes, I mean grumblies too, not just fartcans. You can sufficiently make your car sound "bad ass" without making it overly loud.)
  • Any vehicle that sits in the left lane on roadways with multiple lanes
  • Any vehicle that rides others' bumpers but never, ever, ever attempts at passing
  • Any vehicle that is driving without any lights on in inclement weather, dusk, or dawn
  • Any vehicle that can't maintain speed (60mph up hill and 90mph downhill)
  • Any vehicle with rims that are worth more than the vehicle itself
  • Any vehicle parked like they're competing for the IDC award
Those are just off the top of my head. I know I have more.

So 14lbs/hp is your watermark?

The short answer is it has nothing to do with the car.

I drove exactly the same in my Saturn as I did in my Camaro, Taurus, Mazda6, BMW, MDX, and my 7. You see the car and pop stereotypes but it has nothing to do with the car, rather the person driving it. Those cars are vastly different and would assume seven different things if you saw them putting down the road in the same fashion, when you`d be dead wrong as they, for all intents and purposes, are all the same.

I wasn't aware that there were senior citizens on AT. Did someone forget to drink their Ensure today?

Douche cars: any Subaru (especially the Station Wagons with the Obama/Biden bumper stickers), VW Golf/Jetta/Passat, any BMW, any Audi. Virtually all these vehicles are *required* to pass you, even if you're doing 85 in the right lane.

Non sti/wrx subaru a douche car? Seriously? Seems more like a hatred for Obama than any douchiness.

Couple points:
-M3s do seem to attract male douches A LOT
-X5s attract female douches who don't (1) know the size of their vehicle and (2) tend to pay little attention to the road
-your car will often 'call a douche out'; what I mean is that if your driving a Camry, your fine. Drive a sporty car, and they act like an extra douche and try to race
-Large trucks in lots of rural areas; this is epecially true when you have a sports car and they cannot for the life of them figure-out how their 'truck V8' is slower than your i4T/v6/etc. in your 'pu$$y car'

Again, exceptions to every rule, but these are my observations. I find the most expensive, fastest cars usually are owned by folks who don't give a rip about anyone else on the road. That's actually a good thing IMHO.

Agreed. Around here, a 'non-turbo' Subaru are usually driven by the mildest folks around. I would consider them the 'anti-douche' actually.

Being responsible and respectful to others has nothing to do with age, and everything to do with saving lives and not pissing other people off.

Edit: I'm perfectly aware I sound curmudgeon-like, but when you know how people in Europe drive and compare that to how laid back and idiotic we are here in the states you begin to set some standards.

I've seen plenty of examples of stupid and inconsiderate driving in Europe.

True that. Drive a little in Italy. They aren't really inconsiderate, on the whole, but I'd characterize a large portion of them as boneheaded. The main problem is, I don't think they have a clue about their own driving laws, they simply look at them as a very broad guidelines. Defensive driving, to them, is a completely foreign concept.

Really dude? I never said there are no poor European drivers. I said in comparison overall.

And ya, Italians are a pretty poor example. By far, German, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, and Polish drivers are world's apart compared to Italy's and state side (in general).
