Are you trying to increase your post count, or is this a geniune question? If so, there is no need for double posting, especially one after another, as your "someone talk me into this" thread is pretty much the same thing.

However, if this was meant to be a geniune question, please post what cases you are interested in (preferrably with links), and what you do with your computer, or what you plan to at any rate. And what you intend to use your computer for. Also, what is important to you? Are you a form over function kind of person? How important is silence to you? What are your absolute requirements for a case (drive bays, etc, etc)

Welcome to the forums...

har har.... i was very rushed to get this topic off because i had class to get to and i wanted rome replies by the time i got back. i was not trying to up my post count..... here are your details

antec- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129017

lian li- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811112116

i have bought many antec cases in the past, and i am now leaning more towards the lian li because of all the reviews i have heard of the build quality of their cases. This new rig im building is going to be mostly for gaming and vid. editing, and i want it fairly quiet. the antec has all 120mm fans, so i assume it will be quieter, but what about case materials, is aluminum more quiet than stee? i also like the lightness of the lian li, but i cant resist the finish of the antec. I like my pc to not look very flashy and not have much bling, which is why on my other post i was wondering about sidepanals. As far as the actual case goes, i like cooling the best. i want this to look simple and classy. Also- if anyone has any other lian li cases that are about in the same price range that that one is in, i would appriciate there comments.

I was in a similar situation, trying to decide between the Antec P180B and the Lian Li PC-A10B case. I eventually decided on the Lian Li, even though it is expensive. The case is coming this week (the 7th hopefully).

hehehe. That's funny. I'm kind of in the same situation. I have yet to have a Lian Li case, but mine is on it's way here. Except I ordered a G70B, and had it modded a bit as well. My previous cases consist of a CoolerMaster ATC-100 and an Enermax FS2300BB, so I have no experience with Antec cases. From what I've heard, and seen of them though, I would choose Lian Li...

I made the same choice a few weeks ago I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Lian Li.

I gotta stick up for the P180 (B or no)... You can get one for $80 (unless that deal's over, not sure), and it's a good, well-built case. I really couldn't be much happier with it.

Go with the Lian Li. Much better case. You won't regret owning a Lian Li.

That Lian Li is not a better case. By definition, that silly plastic side panel is going to make it noisier. Moreover, it's old 20th-century technology. If you want a case that's expertly designed for both silence and cooling, get the 21st-century design -- i.e., the P180B.

I think you're a bit confused...

Lian Li cases are 100% aluminum (aside from rubber bits here and there, and the occasional plastic clip) there's no plastic side panel or front bezel. Did you even look at the link for the Lian Li case mentioned in this thread - the PC-A10? If not give it another go..

The Antec P-180 on is a combination of steel and plastic construction. In fact the P-180 is a better choice for a quiet build because of the steel+plastic construction. (aluminum resonates more easily than steel)

both of these cases share an "advanced" layout.

I got my Lian Li PC-A10B today and all I can say is ... AWESOME!! I honestly can't think of anything bad to say about it. I guess if I had to choose one thing it would be the manner in which you have to install the power supply, but big freaking deal.

Can't say if it's better than the Antec since I haven't seen it, but I'm certainly not disappointed with the Lian Li. I'm glad I got it!

Both antec and lian li have great build quality in my experience, though if your looking for something sleek, nothing beats lian li. You won't be disappointed by either.
