Looking for something sub $150 if possible... Don't have lots of dough, but also dont want to skimp too much....

What bikes do you reccomend for riding around town. Not going incredibly long distances (no more than 7-8 miles a day) and since im in Florida, i wont be climbing mountains or really taking her offroad that often.... if at all....

thats bad

honestly spending less then 300-400$ on a bike is risky, and seeing as thats a full susp bike its even more risky

Im by no means a serious cyclist, nor do i plan to be. I think for my purposes, spending $300-400 would be overkill.

Find something used. Definitely hardtail, in that price range I'd probably avoid suspension entirely.

Avoid department store brands at all cost, you want a low end but solid bike shop brand. Trek has some pretty decent low end stuff, used you should be able to find something in that price range.

$300-400 is the extreme bottom end of quality. Unfortunately once you've ridden a good bike you'll hate the department store stuff.

I agree that he should consider a used bike.

I'm not sure how far Orlando is from you but here are a few used bikes.

Any local bike dealer should have a bulletin board with used bikes advertised.

Doesnt seem too bad....... Is it?

that's a nice looking bike.

nice looking doesn't say anything about the quality. Mangoose makes okay bikes, would not recomment it. Look into hybrids bicycles, they are perfect for what you want. Giant makes some nice bikes, might want to try the Cypress or Boulder. I would suggest specialized but they dont have any for sub 150 dollars. For the price your looking for, you might want to try walmart or target

wont get anything good with that price bracket. if you muist, then just get the cheapest possible bike you can find that you are comfortable with at a dept store. then save up until you're past maybe $400. then you'll be able to get a worth-keeping (although not really worht upgrading) bike.

If your just cruising around on the streets then don't get a suspension bike(front or back). I LMAO when I see people bouncing up and down on those full suspension walmart bikes. It is a total waste of energy to ride a suspension bike on the street.

Also try to get something with quality derailers/gears (read shimano). Most people would be better off with a singlespeed than the cheap bikes with horible derailers.

I would try to find a used trek or specialized rigid-cruiser/comfort type bike.
