Which console

Hey there
I wanna ask some questions about consoles because Christmass is comming and i dunno what to wish.
If i had to choose i would pick PS4 because it has the best hardware and it has all the final fantasy games which i love so much but there is a limit i think around 300 dollars / 225 euros which i should not surpass with price of the present.
That means there are only handhelds and old generation consoles left (or these crappy android consoles i don't really want to get).

Well i nearly choosed PS Vita but it seems that it's already old and cannot run games well (low fps, or shitty graphics in games where graphics plays main role).
Then i found out that for example Lenovo Miix can run Crysis 1 pretty smooth and the tablets' is price around the limit i have already mentioned and that quite puts shame on PS Vita.
So what do i want?
Well i want a console which allows me to play online games, great looking games (i don't mean hd graphics, pretty effects and atmosphere would be just great). This console shoulnd't be outdated...
Btw i love rpgs, it would be awesome if the console could run some rpgs, even better if it could run the rpgs online.
I also like anime or anime-inspired games a lot.
Ps. just wanted to add that i really don't like games such as Mario 3D, Smash Brosh and things like that, on the other side Castlevania and Legend of Zelda would be really cool.

Since he says he likes RPGs and anime inspired games, I'd say the PS3 is a better option than the 360.
3DS is another solid choice. Probably the best.

What if you asked for gift cards or money and saved them for a PS4. I feel like if you are dreaming for a PS4 and get something less, you will still be wanting to get a PS4. I would rather wait than throw that kinda money down the drain.

I like 360, but as of late, the size of the games (GB) has grown larger than 1 disc. Games like BF4 and GTA5 (I know there are others), must be installed on the local hard drive. This makes for a decently faster experience, but the drive speeds could be a bottleneck. I'd like to see the full gaming experience on PS4 or Xbox One before buying. I've not taken time to play with either. Having said that, I'll stick with the Xbox platform because I like the controller design the most. It's always fit my hand the best. I've not owned PS since PS1....

I think with any new consoles, you need to consider how many games you expect to shuffle between and make sure they have ample hard drive space for full game installs. I think that's what Xbox One has shifted to.

Pssh, games went multi-disc years ago. Forza Motorsport 3 was on 2 discs back in 2009. Rage was on 3 discs in 2011, as was L.A. Noire. It's just that now, Wolfenstein is on 4 discs, and it's insane.

If going wit ha later generation, go really old school and give a bunch of top games that are now $10 each in used bins. PS1 w/ twisted metal and a slew of other games would be nice.

Or an N64 which had some KILLER games like Tony Hawk, WaveRace, Mario 64 and others.

Why not a used PS4? Check Ebay, you might find one for $300. You might even find an older, used gaming PC for that much.

I got pretty fine PC where i run nearly every new game on high details (I5 4670k + gtx660) which i have paid from my part time work but i like console games more. Well but i'm afraid i will buy something broken or half working and will not be able to send it back.

You can go the Cowboom route. IDK if the coupon is still working, but hey have a used PS4 for $365, and there were $100 off coupons that brought it into the $275 range, after tax. The only issue is that Cowboom consoles are usually without a controller (and if you get a controller, you lose out on something like the power cable, though those are cheap to get), and the glossy parts of those consoles are scratched to all hell.

I got a Ps3 and an xbox 360 about a year ago and I feel the PS3 has more interesting selection of exclusives.
