It's not just the MAGA supporters (or any particular political party) when it comes to be dumbasses opposed to vaccines.

If I had to lay the blame on one particular thing, I'd say the dumbassery can mostly be blamed on social media (with a few dumbasses being able convince other dumbasses to believe in what they claim). From celebrities all the way down to users like Lazynyer who shouldn't even be allowed to connect to the internet, this is the price we pay for all the wonderful things the internet has given us.

Blacks don't trust J&J because of the talcum powder scandal. I don't fault them for having the sentiment of skepticism and resentment....even if objectively, their conclusion is unfounded up to the confidence level of the studies behind the vaccine.

Yeah, it's tough to deal with people who are otherwise intelligent, when it comes to being anti-mask and anti-vaccine.

My father-in-law (who lives in a different state) is one of those people who believe the government requiring "strongly recommending" to wear a mask in public situations is infringing on his individual rights, and doesn't slow the spread of the virus.

I mean my wife can talk to him about so many different subjects, and he's not some backwards uneducated hillbilly, but his logical brain processes just completely shut down when it comes to the subject of Covid vaccines and wearing masks.

I think regardless of what group a person falls into, it all comes down to people being selfish and not being able to tell good information from bad. Hopefully all the people who aren't immediately getting the vaccine for whatever reason they believe, will at some point down the line decide to do it for the benefit of society as a whole. If we have very large percentages of people who refuse to do so, we are going to be dealing with this way of life for years.

First shot hurt a little right when I got it and for a couple hours afterwards then it was fine.

Number two OTOH hurt substantially more at least partially due to "Nurse Ratched" jamming the needle in with some serious enthusiasm! (didn't help that I got it in the same spot as #1)



Felt like I got punched in the arm for a few days.
