Which G-Sync monitor to buy?

I was about to purchase an ASUS PG278Q ROG Swift monitor but stopped once I read the 10s of bad reviews on Amazon.com specifically talking about how bad the quality control is of ASUS and that comes to no surprise after having had recently purchased an ASUS AC-3200 router that keeps disconnecting all the time no matter what firmware I chose, having purchased an ASUs G751JY! 3 months back that would freeze if I connect any external HDD to the left USB ports and this issue with the left USB seems to be common in all the recent ASUS laptops according to people on the ROG Forums ( https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthre...xternal-HD-anyone-else&highlight=left+problem )

So what other choices am I left with? I don't want ACER as they are the same with horrible customer service and very bad quality products. I don't want a 4K screen as things look too tiny in 4K and I don't want to do a 200% DPI scaling or such. 1440p seems like the perfect resolution or I wouldn't mind even 1920x1080p but I want a 144hz refresh rate + G-SYNC

asus is due to release a IPS, 144hz g-sync panel soon.

I really like my BenQ g-sync, but it's a 24" 1080p, not 27".
