Which GeForce3 Ti200 to buy?

The two cards I'm looking at are teh VisionTek and Gainward GeForce3 Ti200.

Which one? VisionTek is cheaper by 30 bucks. But I've heard that Gainward is better for overclocking. Has anyone had any experience with overclocking the VisionTek? If so please speak up.

Give me your opinions on which one is better and why..please! I want to get rid of my GeForce2MX, it's just not cutting it anymore and it's a POS Creative 3d Blaster (it was a gift..I would never of bought this myself :disgust: )

If you spent just a bit more you could get a GF4 Ti4200 and it would last you even longer with even better quality. The GF3 Ti200 is a good card but there's another generation out and another on its way. For $165 you can get a GF4 Ti4200 with Tv-out and it will keep up with everything out there and be even close to its two other brothers (the Ti4400/4600).

If you are stuck on the GF3 Ti200, then I would go with the Gainward for its overclockability. The Visiontek is good as well but not as good of an overclocker but for $30 less when they are so affordable now, then I would go with the Visiontek(probably around ~30% of price) cause the few extra fps would not be worth the premium when comparing solid cards. I just saw that an original GF3 is running for $99 right now though and it will smoke the Ti200.

I have the Gainward ti200 Golden Sample and I have no complaints at all. It is a great card. I have never tried to overclock it but I have also heard good things about its overclocking capabilities.

i would go get a radeon 8500 or, for a bit more, a geforce4 ti4200. imo, there is no reason to get a geforce3 now that there are better choices at similar price points.

Anytime you get a MX there is a definite performance inadequance compared to the regular line up of cards. ASUS has some really nice cards.

I am not sure how much the Gainward card overclocks but the last two Visionteks I've had were great overclockers. The one I have right now runs flawlessly at 235/540 (default is 175/400).

if you are going to get a geforce3 ti200, i would also suggest the visiontek. mine is rock solid at 240/530.

OKay I have the Gainward and reccomend it but now that I see what kind of overclocks that Visiontek is getting. You should get the Visiontek, not sure the Gainward can go that high.
