Which GTX 1080 custom build?

Hi,

I will be using it for professional applications only (Adobe software), so no gaming and no extreme overclocking, but of course if any of the custom designs offers any noticeably better performance out of the box I would be interested. I am not interested in any RGB lighting effects either.
So, which GTX 1080 custom build would you recommend for me?
Unfortunately, there is quite limited number of reviews of the custom design cards available yet, but I was looking at the following 2 models:
MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G, which got pretty positive review on Guru 3D and ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080 OC.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you are in the US I recommend you go EVGA FTW. It will have nice base clocks and EVGA customer service is great.

I can't argue with either of your selections. I'm almost sure I am buying an EVGA GTX 1080 SC when it is released. It still has a single 8 pin power supply with a standard PCB but bump the base core clock from 1607 to 1708. In addition since the PCB is reference I can use an EK waterblock on it.

I have an EVGA GTX 980TI SC with an EK block in my 5960x rig below and love it.

I plan to move the 980 TI SC to my 4790k rig and use the GTX 1080 in my 5960x rig.

i'm looking at MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X or the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW. It'll probably boil down to which one is in stock when I try to buy. I don't care about RGB lighting either.

This makes sense. Unfortunately even the FE cards are in very scarce supply, so I am wondering when will we be able to see any custom builds available for purchase. The date of June 4th circulates on some websites, at least for ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080 OC, which is not that far away. We will see...

I was also looking at the MSI's Gaming X versions, the reviews are slowly coming in (https://youtu.be/FmQQ1wsTxjo), but it's seems that the price is quite steep due to shortage.

I was tempted by the review I saw on the Gigabyte card. Lots of nice extras - front HDMI for VR, mouse pad, a few other things. The cooling on it looked pretty special.

The classified will likely be the best, along with the HOF from Galax. Depends on how pricey they are though, if they are the best buy

Due to lack of availability of the EVGA GTX 1080 SC I opted for a Zotac GTX 1080 FE. I received my EK GTX 1080 full block today.

What you guys think about MSI Sea Hawk? Does the water cooling make any difference, or not? Some argue that it makes more room for OC, because of lower temps and of course gives more comfort because of lower noise level.
What do you think?

How does MSI Sea Hawk compare to Gaming X? As far as I was able to find out the former doesn't have a custom PCB, does it? It also has just one 8 pin power vs. 8+6 for Gaming X. How is it going to influence its performance?
