Which GTX 560 Ti video card would you get & why?

Would you get one with a single fan design like this?

Would you get a factory overclocked one or overclock it manually and save some money?

Which brand would you guess would be coolest, quietest and most reliable of the pack?

EVGA looks nice.

I like a factory OC, since I don't OC my GPU manually.
Sold my Palit. Something just wasn't right. It would always crash the driver (more than one)....just a one user experience though. Happy with my EVGA....as are the reviewers in the link above.

I always buy stock versions. You pay a premium for the others because they are cherry picked. Also I would go with a company that has good warranty. I always buy Evga but in the end you get what you pay for in customer service.

I don't like EVGA's Warranty Transfer Policy personally.


That being said, I buy the cheapest with video cards. I've yet to have issues with Brands such as Palit, Galaxy, etc.

My two Palit 560 Ti's work great, mind you they are stock, but seem quiet. Since they are stock, I'm not concerned about heat (but I've got a ton of cooling).... and they are only 7.4 inches long

Just noticed the Palit you linked is the same as the two I currently own.

I have also used a 460 Sonic Platinum (factory overclocked by quite a bit) in a persons build before and its still going strong.

Another vote for the dual fan design here.

+ Much quieter than single fan blower style, and keeps the GPU cooler
- Need good airflow in your case to exhaust the hot air (not a big deal with a single card and stock clocks)

I only bought a factory OC card because it was the cheapest option (after MIR) at the time. The factory OC % is so tiny that the extra 20-30 is not worth it if you crunch the $/performance numbers. I manually OC'd this card using Afterburner, didn't spend a lot of time, kept it at stock voltage (for safety), pumped core until artifacts, backed off 20MHz, same with memory, been fine since. Did the same with my last few cards (280GTX for 3 years, 8800GTS for 18 months before that), never had an issue at stock voltage.

My past 3 cards had been EVGA, was going to get an EVGA 560Ti DS but this MSI Twin Frozr II was cheaper, and had great reviews. Been very impressed with it, and the MSI Afterburner software (free for anyone/card including ATI) is awesome. Might pick up a second for SLI when I build an IB system next year.

I bought the ASUS DirectCU II version and couldn't be more happier. Cool, quiet, fast and has lots of OC room.

palit's are good, but yeah, evga is probably the best souce for nvidia cards

I fell in love with theGainward GTX 560 Ti Phantom cooler. Might not be the best but looks really cool.

I don't hear them over my case cooling which isn't loud enough to bug me... but thats me.

I like the EVGA with the slim dual fan design. It looks like even if you stack 2 in SLI, the top one will get airflow. I could be wrong though
