Which GTX 680 with 4GB GDDR5 ??

I notice there are several GTX 680 with 4GB GDDR5 memory, which one are you recommending as the best of the round-up?

I like the MSI N680GTX Twin Frozr 4GD5/OC GeForce GTX 680. As the cooling solution seems to be one of the best. I have used a couple of the Frozrs in the past and they come with quiet fans. This is the card I may pull the switch on......but it is a pretty high price tag at 509$.

Yes I've thought about the Radeon solution like the 7970s..... but may not be able to run my 3d monitor or 2d at 120hz as others have suggested on NewEgg. So will probably just stick with a 670 or 680 solution this time around.

BS. Most all hardcore games use 120Hz monitors with HD 7970s and GTX 680s with no problems.


But i recommend the HD 7970 GHz edition as its faster than the GTX 680 and it cost $100 and includes 3 free games

I know that either display port or Dual link DVI is required for 120hz. Not all the Radeon cards have dual link DVI......so right there that would be an issue. My monitor is only Dual Link.

If your running a 120hz monitor Durvelle27 with a recent Radeon I'll take your word. Does 120hz show up in the Catalyst control panel similar to Nvidias panel software?

I wouldn't recommend the 4GB model unless your buying a pair for SLI and are gaming at 2560x1440 or 1600.

Even at 1080p or 1920x1200 or below, 2GB in SLI is fine for most games.

The majority of AMD cards have 1 Dual link DVI capable of 120Hz. The majority of them don't have 2 but offer Display Ports.
