Well not that mine was great, but in Charlotte, NC I was getting 30 down/5up for $60, with basic cable. I think they've upped the speeds since.

It's bundle pricing that gets you discounts. $112 for all 3 services... the breakdown on the bill actually goes like this:

Chicago. My provider is currently running a 155 down package for $62 with free modem rental if you sign a 1 year contract.

Probably the 10/1.5. With tiers like that, you're probably only going to see those speeds around peak usage times (evening/weekends) anyway on the 30 down connection as all machines on your street share the cable node.

I get phone and 10mb down DSL for $95 here. Will go down about $9 since I bought my own modem and won't be paying $9 a month to rent theirs, which I could buy from amazon for $40....such a ripoff

I'm paying over $130.00 for 750 gig cap with "up-to" gigabit speeds. With this latest update to my cable modem, I'm getting about 660 mbs down. - Anchorage, AK

I'd do the 18/3. I'd want more than 1.5 Mbps up and 2 megs a sec download is sufficient for me to not pay any more money.
