I think your best bet would be the Radeon. The Geforce MX models are crippled by two pixel pipelines and SDR memory, so you wouldn't see much benefit. The Radeon on the other hand is pushed forward by Hyper Z and DDR memory, so a 150 dollar radeon isn't that bad. ATi has always had better video quality in 2d and 3d than most other companies, including nVidia. I know because I've owned both ATi and nvidia cards, and ATi's colors are always sharper and more vibrant. I currently own a Radeon 64 Vivo and am loving every second of it.

I dont know I have been reading Alot about the Radeon reviews, message boards, and It seems to be the best card to pick right now unless you have to have the fastest card then it would be the GF2 GTS. I also read some good stuff about the asus as far as 2D Quality not speed.

Radeon DDR, its good for its price and it'll last longer with DDR and not much framerate drops as u increase the resolution in 32 bit. just go look at Unreal Tournament at 1280-1024 32bit at steady 60 fps ^_^ ull agree its the card for u. hope that helped

I never had a G400, but reviewers say that Radeon is right up there with it. I can tell you that the 2D on my Radeon is excellent.

Maybe 60 fps on SOME levels with 1280x1024 but not on many. Galleon for example.. I don't even get 60 fps in 1024x768 with the radeon.

I would definitely get the Radeon, if you are willing to deal with a quirky card. I can't recommend an MX because not only is it slower in 32 bits, but it's not as futureproof. I would still rather have a gts for the same price obviously

It depends on what resolutions you will be using ...

if you have a 19inch monitor or bigger .. then definatly get the radeon ... run it at 1280x1024x32 bit in every game and get awesoem framerates and awesome eyecandy

if you have a 17inch monitor that supports 1280x1024 at higher then 75hz ... then get the radeon ....

otherwise if you have an older model monitor that isnt capable of 1280x1024x75 ... you may as well get teh GF2 MX since you wont be using real high resolutions anyways.

Id get the radeon if it were for me ... because it offers much better performance

but if you have a 14 or 15inch monitor ... theres no need for it ...

i suppose if i were to get a gf2mx id get the abit ... only because i am very loyal to them (yea i know brand loyalty is stupid ... but the abit bh6 i bought around december of 1998 has served me so well .... and my kt7 raid is even better i love abit (also the reviews of the abit siluro looked good too) (i do not blindly follow brands ... but i am a bit biased i guess) hmmm lots of (((s and )))s sorry
