Yea I agree but that AIW 800XT is looking really sweet. The X800 XT kicks some serious butt and this is an AIW

I'm going to stick with AGP video for now . . only because I already have it and the industry is still in a flux with these SLI boards and the not even released ATI answer to dual boards . . .

That said, if I were to follow the advice of this thread and buy a +3000 venice and overclock it, would the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum motherboard be a good choice? It isn't cheap at $135. Is there a better choice that still has the same features?

Thanks!

hey zebo...the motherboard that you recommended, i had a question about...its has sli setup...i dont think i'd ever use that cause of its high cost, is there a similar board without sli that would save me some money...if not then this is fine but i was just wondering...thanks

IF YOU PLAN TO UPGRADE, think about it , in my case choice the AMD 64 3500+ venice core in this case. will give you a potencial overcloacking and more sophistacted platform. and overall system performance.. is hard to tell you but INTEL is SUCKS.

If you plan on gaming, better sound and less cpu power on audio is good.

Don't get crucial 8T, I've had real bad luck with it this week... Not even worth running a new thread.

I still stand buy the regular crucial but not 8T version.

hey. ive been looking at what you have been saying, and i think that you are in the same boat that i was. you want a PC that handles all of the games you play now, but dont want to spend a whole lot of money. i heavily suggest that you go with a motherboard that has PCI-E x16. There are a whole lot of great video cards that are PCI-E x16, and you can definately find one that is in your price range. also, go with a sound card, they are like 30 bucks and definately worth it. i would say go with the winchester 3000. it works fine stock and you can OC it fro your exesive needs. here is my rig. it does everything and more than i want.
