which is the better socket A board for overclocking and also for being a generally nice board that wont give me crap.

im looking at the abit KT7a this be ok?
or a asus A7V better? or what? where i am the Kt7a is $400 and the A7v is $380 NZD.

any probs with the abit kt7a i think im going to get that as it has 6 pci and 1 isa and i need/really would like one isa slot.

thats a copy n paste from the website of the place im looking at gettting it will this board really only take up to 1 Gig????? i cant oc past 1 gig or upgrade to a 1.2t-bird later on?

I'm a big fan of Abit. I've got a KT7A-raid and I love it. It's fast and very stable. The KT7A and the Asus have both received excellent reviews.

Go with Abit, and don't look back. They are both great boards, and you can't really go wrong with either, but if you need the ISA slot, the choice is clear. Any performance difference is very small, and not worth the sway to one or the other. The KT7a board will go as high as the cpu will take it. 1.2Ghz is no problem. They are both great overclockers, and are extremely stable.
