Which is your favorite keyboard?

I have been looking for a couple of weeks now, and I was going to buy the Saitek Gaming keyboard, but I read in a couple of forums that there are some incompatibility issues with at least one game. Granted, it is a game that I don't play, but I want everything in a keyboard....performance, a good feel to the keys, multimedia hotkeys, etc. I love my Logitech Multimedia keyboard, but the white color does not match my new silver/black motif I have going on now, plus the left arrow key is beginning to stick. I did not spill anything on it, and it is free of dust and grime. That and the tab key are becoming annoyingly hard to depress. So, I am in the market for a new keyboard. I was looking at the Logitech Elite. It looks almost identical to the one I have now, plus it is black and silver. I was wondering if I could get some recommendations form some users out there. What do you use? I type a great deal, plus play a lot of FPS games. Thanks.

Logitech Elite LE for me, mainly because I didn't want all that extra multimedia/web crap that I never use. So far, quite good. Quiet, good feedback on the keys, but not too stiff, well spaced, lays flat and stable on the desktop.

My 120-something key Call Service Switchboard Keyboard that I got from some computer store a long time ago. Thing weighs a ton and I wish I could use all the keys, but there's no drivers written for the thing (well, there are but it's for the Switchboard that it's supposed to be attached to). It'd be great for gaming...

I have to say the upcoming Logitech diNovo Cordless Desktop.

The mouse certainly isn't for gaming, but I'm not a gamer. I just love the fact that you can take the numeric keypad and the mouse and use them separately (the numeric keypad is a calculator/clock/thermometer and the mouse has a detachable receiver that can be used with a laptop).

At $149.95, it's certainly pricey. However, that's if you buy it retail. As soon as online resellers get their hands on them, I wouldn't be surprised if you find it in the $80-90 range. For that price, you get quite a bit of utility out of the setup (i.e. a mouse for a desktop and laptop and a free numeric keypad/calculator/clock/thermometer that can also be taken with you to use when you're on the go). If you don't like the mouse, you can always get a better one, right?

Anyway, that's my two cents.

Logitech Elite here too. You can remap all of the special keys, and the volume wheel is extremely useful (especially in games).

I had the logitech elite, sits in my closet now.

I'm surprised that everyone here talks multimedia features, and not the quality of the typing.

My all time favorite keyboard is my Northgate Omni Key Ultra. There is a company that purchased there patents that still sells it, forgot the name, but it costs about $200 for the keyboard. And worth it if you type a lot.

I also like the keyboard from my old micron PPro system. Tower was a tank and keyboard was great too. Very solid/heavy with nice clacky key action.

Have yet to find a modern keyboard I really like. I would like to mention a keyboard I really don't like, my dell D800 laptop has a horrible keyboard. If there is a supreme being he will put michael in a hell and make him type on that keyboard all day long.....

The keyboard that came with the MX Duo for me (is that the Logitech Elite or at least similar?). The (wired) keyboard I had before this one was the same. Not too loud, great multimedia/other buttons/controls (and the ones I use don't require iTouch either), etc. One of the best computer purchases I've made. Nothing beats being able to lay in bed and chat on AIM (assuming you make the font sizes large enough....).

Edit: Oh, and I do a ton of FPS gaming on it too, or at least used to. LAN parties, random UT games, etc. No problems at all. The batteries last quite a long time too...I think I got nine or so months out of my last set.
