Which Corsair or Samsung memory should I buy for the 8RDA+?
I plan on getting 512 MB of DDR 2700 but I'm not sure what to buy. I've seen several DDR 2700's from both Corsair and Samsung. The motherboard manual says to buy unbuffered, non-ecc 184 pin DIMMS. Corsair even has one with a heat spreader. I'm just not sure exactly what to buy. I don't plan to overclock if that matters.

Thanks

if you're not overclocking, the samsung will be perfect. you can pick up a few sticks on googlegear.com for a nice price.
samsung goodness if you want dual channel ddr, get 2 of these.
single 512 samsung

i have corsair xms, by the way. awesome memory for overclocking.

Still not sure about the dual DDR business yet
if I go NForce2, will I need to replace my 512MB PC2700 Samsung? (don't plan on it if possible) I think it's double sided modules.

No, but if you want to take advantage of the dual channel capabilities of nForce2, you'll need to get a second module. It's probably not worth the investment, though.

2nd module of what? that's what i am not getting.
I presume you just mean of the same type of memory.. or do i need some special DDR
i would plan on running my TBred 1700 @ 166 FSB therefore the DDR333 would be right in spec too.

does that work? still not sure about memory to use......

Hi there, sorry for jumping into your tread.

Since the 8RDA+ unlocks a 1700+ T'bred, allowing to change the the fsb and mutiplier... what kind of ram and how many sticks should I get?

And will I be fine with the stock fan and heatsink or will I need something better?

Thanks you in advance for you help.
