which memory is better??

hi all
i have a P4 2.53Mhz , with 100Gig Hd, TI4600, 512 Mb crucial PC2700,
i'm thinking about adding an other 512MB of memory, because its getting really cheap
i found a K-Byte 512MB PC2700 for $70 , and the same memory that i got in my system now, is selling for $82

so my question is :

is it ok to mix and match memory? ( knowing that i had a prob in the past with mxing memory)
and is the K-Byte good memory ou should you guys recommend to buy the same crucial stick that i have

Eh, go for Samsung. Micron/Crucial is nearly bankrupt. They won't be around much longer.

but Hynix is in trouble and Micron was considering buying the company.

Actually, that botched attempt fell apart long ago. Then hynix was bailed out by the South Korean government.

Micron lost around $1B in the past year (yes, almost, $1 BILLION). They lost $625M the year before. They're reporting earnings on Thursday, where they're expecting to announce an $800M loss for the QUARTER.

Crucial is wholly owned by Micron, and Micron can't last. They've been selling off their own investments to stay in business, and at this point they're almost out of stuff to liquidate. They'll be bankrupt by the end of the year.
