Asus in my main rig/GF's rig/server and Foxconn in my HTPC. I mainly use gigabyte or Asus for builds for friends.

ASUS! I had 2 hard PSU failures resulting optical drive and graphic card burnt out but the mobo still functioning @ 100%.

I've used mostly Asus, but lately have gotten a few Gigabyte as they offer better bang-for-buck for my needs.

Presently have one Gigabyte & three Asus in the PCs in this room.

Asus in my current computer, used Abit, MSI, Gigabyte, Soyo, ECS and plenty others in the past. Asus, Abit and MSI have been the most reliable for me but you can get a good and bad board of any brand.

Abit have always been rock solid though, never ever had a board of theirs fail before I upgraded, have a bunch of KT7A-Raids with thunderbirds in them that still power up no troubles and it's a total shame they're gone in the motherboard market.

Asus little fiddly sometimes but solid too, just like MSI but Gigabyte has always been the first of them to fail on me maybe I just have bad luck with them.

I have used Gigabyte, Asus, ECS, MSI, Intel and Supermicro.

I like MSI because they give good performance at a good price

Gigabyte and Asus seem like middle of the road boards, with both being stable and dont cost a fortune

Intel and supermicro are rock solid, but can cost more then the other brands.

I will never buy another ECS board
If I was building a server, I would use intel or supermicro.
If I was building an economy machine, MSI
Currently all 4 computers in my house use ASUS.

I have 3x eVGA (2x P55, 1x 680i), 1x Asus (X58), 1x Gigabyte (P45), 1x Zotac (G43), 2x Intel (G45, 965P), 1x Abit(975X), and a Supermicro (5520).

I guess I'll say eVGA. If they had had an X58 board when I bought mine, I probably would have 4 eVGA boards.

Trying Gigabyte now. Before that it was always either Abit or Asus. Abit is gone and I don't buy Asus anymore due to support issues I had with a sound card.

I generally go with ASUS, though I could use MSI or Gigabyte. Used ASRock in a budget build too.

My file server uses an ECS RS480-M but I haven't gotten anything from them in a while...I think the board had the SB450 controller installed, flashing the BIOS made the board into a paperweight since the support for this one wasn't added yet in the updates from the SB400 they used initially.

Going with Gigabyte lately (LGA 775, LGA 1156) as they have been rock solid (so long as you don't install any of those Gigabyte bundled software) and I am very happy with the quality of the integrated 7.1 Realtek audio (ALC 889 on the LGA 1156).

I've been using my EVGA P55 FTW for over a year without a single problem. I usually go for Asus, Gigabyte, and EVGA. For regular workstations, I use Intel system boards. Really depends on budget though.

All of the boards, when retired, usually 10 years after they first went into service, still worked perfectly fine. Yes, I have a few gripes about Asus' BIOS and software quality over the past few years, but hardware-wise, their products have been rock-solid, despite well known problems with other brands, particularly, with capacitors.

I chose ASUS because I have used more of them than any other mobo but I use Gigabyte quite a bit too. Gigabyte is a close second.

I'm kind of partial to MSI, I think lately they've been coming out with a lot of nice and innovative products. ASUS and Gigabyte make great stuff as well.

I've had consistently good luck with Asus, but I bet for every person like me you can find someone who says, "Every Asus I've bought has failed on me."

I think brand loyalty on a lot of these things, especially harddrives and motherboards, is very "your mileage may vary" / "luck of the draw."
