I plan on buying a thunderbird when prices go down tomorrow. Here is my current setup, which motherboard would be best for me?
gigabyte 7ix
athlon 650
256mb PC 100 ram dimm
IDE:
4x4x24x hp cdrw
12x toshiba dvd-rom
13.6 GB IBM 7200rpm ata66 drive
30.0 GB IBM 75-gxp ata100 drive (i have not installed this yet)
zip250
standard NIC
SB PCI 128
modem
CL Geforce2 (running at 1x agp [would like 4x]), may possibly replace with radeon
so basically
i need a good motherboard which has at least 3-4 pci slots and perferably a 4x agp. I would like to support ata100 but with my other 3-4 devices that dont, I dont know if i can (i've heard that both devices on same chain must run at same speed). I would probably perfer pc133 but then i'd have to trade my ram (it is a 2-2-2 variety, kingston or crucial i think).
thanks for any help!!
my initial impression is to get the asus a7v? or something like that.
