I tried KnoppMyth last night and had lots of problems getting it to work. For some reason it will not boot after the initial install. Just hangs after the bios looks for a boot CD. Redid the drives, lilo, etc, and could get it to boot. I'm thinking that for some reason it doesn't like my hardware (Barton 2500/NF7-S2/ti4200/2xPVR250). I had some old Mandrake 9.1 CDs lying around and installed that, but needed nic drivers because of the onboard lan on the Nforce2 wasn't supported in that version. So I downloaded the latest version of Mandrake and Fedora and went to sleep. Tired to get Debian images, but jigdo sucks, or the images have been removed from the 3 mirrors that I tried. I may go to Frys and try and just pick up the CDs. I'll probably grab Gentoo while I'm at it, so if one distro has a problem with hardware I'll just move on the next without having to wait for another download. I guess as long as I can use something similar to Ports on FreeBSD I dont care which distro I use.
Anyways...surprised nforce2 support wasn't better supported in R42. Seems like they are the ideal boards for htpcs.
