Which new console do you support?

I just got a PS3 last week and so far love it. Connected to the WIFI in 10 min, downloaded bunch of demos, bought some blue ray movies - black hawk down looks amazing on my 50'Sony HDTV/1080i. The HDMI cable was 24$ in microcenter by the way.

Games so far: virtual tennis - old addiction from Dreamcast. Motorstorm, rented, great buy for the future if the price drops to like 29$ maybe.
Darkness, rental, great fun even with the controller.
Resistance demo looks fun, but I can't get use to the controls without the mouse for this fast shooter.
Formula 1 looks and plays great - demo

Anyway, I preordered 300 on blue ray and will be picking up Ninja Gaiden tomorrow. The demo was amazing and the best graphics I've ever seen.
I'm also using the media center futures to transfer music and videos to PS3. The videos need coversion to MPG4 which I use Nero for.

I know people don't like the price, but to me 600$ was a bargain for all these futures. ANd when Microsoft get their act together and fixes problems with the 360's I will be looking forward to getting one also.

I have the 360 and the Wii. I like my 360 better. The Wii was fun for a week, but now I don't even touch it. If I'm 10yo I would like the Wii games. The graphics suck on my HD TV LCD

XBOX360 by far. i own the 360 and wii.

ps3 never had anything that stood out for me and the price is not justified. i don't use blueray and doubt i'll have use for it in the next 2 years. i think games look better on the 360, too, so even the crossplatform games aren't best on the ps3.

my brother just got the wii like 2 weeks ago. it seems alright but it's evident it was created for a younger population. like the 13 and under age group. not that i'm not enjoying the system, it's just i can't play it for more than 30 minutes at a time cause i'll get bored from it.

360's graphics are good, i like the controller, xbox live is a big plus, and it has games.

Yes. And it wasn't affecting every game. PS1 games and PS2 games that supported progressive scan were fine.

Wow...so many angry people....I gather everything sucks from everyone. Since I own all of them, I'll chime in on what sucks on each:

360 - lack of an integrated wireless adapter (and wanting $100 for one retail), charging for any meaningful content on XBL, lack of HDMI input
good: number of decent games, good interface

Wii - lack of games that appeal to anyone >16, lack of online gaming, 480p is the top resolution
good: awesome controller, mass appeal (think outside the box here...mass appeal to all ages)

PS3 - lack of games period. There are a total of 3 that I would own - Resistance, MotorStorm, Darkness, lack of including either a component or HDMI cable
good: see the 3 games mentioned, although MotorStorm is a disappointment for onsite multiplayer, the 1.80 firmware scalar and DLNA support

Notice, I failed to mention that either Sony or Microsoft suck....or that Nintendo is smacking both of them down. It is not relevant as to whether the system is any good. Sure Sony has done some bonehead things, so have Nintendo (Gamecube), Microsoft (Bob), IBM (see MCA architecture, which was better than PCI), Apple (Lisa), etc.....almost every technology company has sucked at some time with some product. Wanna talk suck, talk Dark Alliance for the PS3, not the system.

I support all three, but right now the PS3 is getting the most playtime at my house. The 360 has been pissing me off lately with mid-game lockups. I think I am going to tear it down and do some moddin

The wii, well its still sitting there.. I am interested in Paper Mario, and RE4 though, I just haven't had the time to go pick em up.

But I am waiting for confirmation that the several necessary redesigns needed to solve the overheating problems have completed correctly. In the mean time, I keep saving $$$ to pay for the system, necessary accessories, AND the extra extra extra charges for any meaningful content on XBox Live. I figure by the time I have set aside $700 for the system and addons and another $3000 for about one year of XBL content, Microsoft may have actually figured out how to redesign and correctly manufacture a working console, but I doubt it. I'll probably have at least $25000 saved by THEN, and then I can buy all the XBL content that I want, at least, until those funds run out half way through my second year.

I was waiting on the redesign also. But I'm tired of waiting. I want to have fun now. Plus I want to watch HD-DVD movies. I have a bunch already. It's going to cost a few hundred dollars for a new video card to watch them smoothly and have HDCP (already have the 360 add on, got it to work but my computer really needs a little more muscle). I'd rather just buy an x-box now and enjoy it.

I'm not a huge gamer. I built a cheap gaming PC a year or so ago to play games but never really used it. My brothers and I pitched in together and got a Wii. It's really fun to play with friends and Zelda rocks. As I said though, I'm not much of a gamer so it's great because of the fun aspect with friends. Great for parties and light gaming. I don't really know about PS3 or 360 cause I don't own either and almost none of my friends can afford them!

I'm stingy.....I want everything you mentioned. I say not to leave a single thing out. If a game doesn't have great gameplay, great quality, at least some kind of innovation in the genre, and great graphics, then don't market it to me. The gameplay over graphics arguement is definitely tried and true, but graphics are still very important to me. I want my expensive new generation systems to look new gen. The Wii is an exception, somewhat, due to the low price, though.

A lot of Wii owners are people who wouldn't traditionally buy a console, and are also less concerned with the graphics.

The 360 is garbage, and I don't mean because the hardware keeps failing. There are maybe 2 great games for the system. There's a lot of "good" ones, but to be honest, "good" doesn't really cut it anymore. The PS3 still doesn't have anything. Ninja Gaiden just came out, which is ok... but I've played 3 variations of it now. I *DO* like this holidays lineup, for all 3 systems.
