Which of these 3?

I've narrowed my PSU choices down to these 3:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...2028%2CN82E16817171014
I think I'm leaning towards the Raidmax. As far as the cooler masters go, I don't think I need 650w of power so I don't have any justification to pay the extra $10 after rebate($30 upfront difference).

The PC will have:
Athlon x2 4000+ Brisbane
Geforce 7600GT
160gb SATA
2gb of DDR2 800 RAM

I"m also open to all suggestions, I have a PSU budget of under $50. I want to go as low as possible but still maintain a decent level of quality and not having a huge risk of my PSU killing my computer. Thanks in advance!

Of those three I'd have to say.....none. None of those are what I could consider good quality at all.

If you are seriously going to stick to such a low budget, wait for a good frys earthwatts deal. Any of the 380 to 500W models should be plenty.

Course imho the better choice is to bump the budget slightly and get this:

If it has to be one of those 3 I would go with the Coolermaster 650.
All 3 of those are adequate to do the job.
But my own personnal opinion is I would run from the Raidmax.
Run quickly!!

Peace!!

None. Do you want to risk your entire computer for such a cheap PSU?

I don't keep up on the "best" bargain PSUs, so I don't know what the best brand is in that price range.

Edit: The wattages all seem a little overkill. For that build you don't need hardly that much juice. Tomoyo's suggestion is nicer than any of the 3 you picked, and only $10 over budget.

As far as I know, Raidmax isn't exactly known for their PSUs. If $50 is your limit, then I would go with either a Fortron or Sparkle brand one.

Well if you don't plan on killing your computer or buying a new PSU every few months or so I would stay clear of any $50 PSU.

These reviews just show how I mean:

If your really on a budget your going to want one of these.

so if he has his heart set on one of those 3.......which does he get?
I believe that was his original question with none of the 3 not being an option.

Peace

There are more than 3 PSU in the world, the artificial reduction to one of these three is stupid.

..especially after this

Should come with earplugs!

I think he should not listen to you first of all and listen to the people giving him good suggestions.

I think when somebody posts and says which of these 3...we should answer his question forst and then possibly add if you are interested in other PSU`s.....

But I guess you did`nt comprehend his original post??

Thats OK!!!

Yes there are more than 3 PSU`s in the world but what was the Op`s original question?
I believe the OP knows there are more than those 3 PSU`s!
But he asked specifically for an answer on those 3......ir did you niot read that part?

Peace!!

Except if the op were to heed our advice he might not want those 3 he had originally picked. So why do we absolutely positively have to choose between those 3 when he can very well change his mind. I rather wait for the op to reply (if he does) before I have to pick anything despite our advice.

possibly because the OP knows what he wants and is smart enough to realize there are other PSU`s thus instead of getting FSP Fanboys and Antec fanboys and Zippy Fanboys and PC Power & Cooling Fanboys he asked a specific question......

Most of the stuff you guys linked is about double what I want to pay.... $80 is not a budget PSU and I don't want to pay 1/4 of my budget on it. Why is it that the $50 PSU's still maintain 4-5 star ratings if they suck so badly? My parent's computers are running on $20 CoolMax PSU's with no problems whatsoever. They don't even have video cards though so they put like no load on them.

Dazed and Confused, which of those PSUs that you linked would you recommend? Are they all better than the ones I originally linked?

Take newegg reviews as a grain of salt. That is all they are, look up real comprehensive reviews from trusted sources.

It's your choice though on what you should and shouldn't do.

@Jedi

We have our choice on what to do, if you want to just answer his question be my guest, but if we want to give advice on better alternatives we may do so freely and as many different brands were suggested it isn't fanboyism. Now stop trying to be a control freak and dictate what we can and can't do, especially when all we are doing is giving advice which we are allowed to do.

Ratting is perhaps because people buy it (1st PSU purchase in the life!), turn on *it works* and leave comment the same day. Same people leave 5 stars for Sammy 24" TN monitor that costs as much as real 8-bit monitor of same size...

When looking at ratings on newegg use this approach. About 1 out of every 100 people that buy something off of newegg leave a review and only 1 out of every 10 have any clue what they're talking about. That means for every 100 reviews only 10 people that left one actually know what they're doing, the rest either got lucky buying the right item for the job and post a good review or they didn't know what they were doing and got an item too weak for the job, it died and they left a bad review.

NewEgg dord not review products!
With that said let me give you an example.
Your PSU dies a horrible death.
So you go to the NewEgg site and you see a ACME 500watt PSU for $29.95 so you purvchase that PSU!!
After hooking it up everything works so you go back to the NewEgg site and you write a nice review and you give the ACME a 5 star rating!
My question to you is what did you know about that PSU? Othert than when you installed it everything worked?

You know little if in a week or a month something might go bad.
Let`s say you go online there are NO Reviews of the ACME PSU.
All the forums you go to have people complaining right and left about the ACME PSU?

Thats why it`s better to do your research!
Of the 3 PSU you asked about the Coolermaster`s will do you just fine provided your not going to over clock later on down the line or add alot more hardware!
As a PSU thay are not bad!
Yet wghen it comes to PSU`s we all are fanboy`s and have our own opinions.

My advice to you is get the 650 check the warranty and make sure if something goes later that you can RMA the thing!!

Good Luck!!

Earlier someone said I don't need this much power. Why should I get the 650 instead of the 500 then? What about dazed and confused's options, any of those good?

well iether one is fine.
It has been my experieince that the 650 gives you room to grow a little if need be.
but since the 650 is twice as much $$$ as the 500 go for the 500!!

Also i wouldn`t take too much stock in what people say about PSI`s needing less watts. Most of those people have no clue that a lesser powered PSU doesn`t put out as much amps on the 12v rail as a PSU with more watts!!
It would be nice if that were th case!!

lol

Peace!

Ok, then FSP wins, if you guys wouldn't have said anything I wouldv'e gotten the Thermaltake. BTW, fsp is $40, not $47.80.

EDIT: Oh, you were giving prices with shipping... I wasn't counting shipping because it gets calculated differently when you have a shopping cart full of stuff. Besides, it'll end up about the same for any PSU.
