Which of these 660GT's?

Hi, I'm on a budget $100-200. I want a PCI express graphics card but am bit confused.

I dont see a big difference in these cards except the different brand names MSI, ASUS ect. Yet some are more expensive than others...
So im choosing between these:

Which do you recommend? Will the 256 make any difference performance/graphics wise?

Also why are 6800's more expensive but only have a core clock of 300MHz+? While the cheaper 6600's have 500+?

Would you recommend an ATI over all of these within the price range stated above?

256mb won't make a difference because it has a 128-bit memory interface.

as for different brands, AnandTech reviewed a bunch of them here.

The 6800 has more pixel pipelines (8 vs 16) and 256 bit memory interface vs 128bit. The 256MB version offers no performance increases for the amount of money that you are spending on it. It is also possible that the kind of memory on the 256MB version has high latencies which might affect its overclockability. I would go for the cheapest 6600 GT you can buy or maybe wait a little bit more to see if the 6800GT prices will fall even lower.

no you wont.
as you mentioned the cores are already faster, the memory is already faster and they dont have pipes to unlock.
everyone always wants to make one card become another. you want to overclock it to 6800's specs but you dont even seem to know what those are.

I'm fully aware and know what they are, but I didnt mean acually turning it into another card. Just OCing to 3/4 its full potential. I was looking for a card between $100-200. So the 6800GT is not an option.

There's not a lot of overclocking room on the 6600GT - its already clocked pretty high for both the core and memory.

I think the fastest card you can get in your price range is the ATI X800, such as this one.

get a leadtek 6600gt...some of the others have heatsink problems

6800nu...i'd recommend that, and then you dont have to worry so much about what you get...just dont get XFX or PNY.
