Which of these two pci video cards are better?

um yes it does, duh
you can watch a very pretty slideshow fullscreen; its a very nice feature. the slideshow is $55, its called Half-Life 2.

Alright so I found another 9200, it has 256mb of memory. Its the VisionTek Xtasy 9200 256MB PCI , would this one be better than the ATI 9200 with 128mb

What is better a plain fx5200 or a 9200SE?

Also I a 9250 better than a 9200SE. Newegg has the fx5200 and the 9200se and the 9250 for around $45shipped each.



I want to upgrade from a Geforce 2 32mb card.

256MB would be a waste for a PCI card that slow. Infact, you might even have worst performance than the 128MB model, due to reduced memory speed.

nv fx dosent truly support dx9 you mean. it's sad, i ran 3dmark05 on a friend's toshiba with a 5700go. 522 3dmark05 marks. sad.sad.sad... and he thought he had a decent comp...

anyway 128mb might be a waste for a 9200. is there a 64mb model?

Are you talking about the nVidia Radeon FX 5200 Pro or the ATi GeForce FX 9200 XT?

Seriously, neither of these cards are going to be very good DX9 performers... PCI video cards are not really made for gaming.

Particularly since the 9200 is a DX8 board

You can get a 5700LE in PCI flavor that should wipe the floor with either of the parts you are looking at, although it runs $92 shipped. Edit- NM, just saw you were looking at Amazon, not NE.

OH soryr go with ATI,

the nvidia fx isnt that good with dx9, in fact it is rather poor at dx9

Anyway i would just throw in an extra $50 and get a 9600pro, alot better choice of a card.
