Which one is the best cost/effective CDRW?

I want a CDRW to backup my data and copy mp3s into it, as well as making backup VCDs and music CDs. From the list, which is the best cost/effective CDRW? (list is from my local store).

Plextor 12/10/32 IDE is the best one to get. Very few problems. It supports overburning and is compatible with practically every cdr program.

yea Plextor is best, but i wouldn't say it's got the best "value". You could find plenty same speed/similar qualtiy drivers for a smaller price.

I got a Ricoh 8/8/32, not in the same league as the Plextor 12/10/32, but is pretty cheap. The only grip i have with it is that it doesn't support DMA. It burns fine, it's 2MB buffer has never gone under 90% full when burning at 8X while surfing and icq'ing.

I have the Yamaha 8424 and 8824 both are excellent burners. Never any problems.

the most cost effective, CloneCD compatiable unit isn't even on your list Mitsumi 4804TE copies everything including Playstation etc: 82.00 plus shipping on Pricewatcher. not fast but very good check some of the burn sites and CloneCD,Nero etc: it's on everyones list of supported hardware

I heard the Iomega's are just remarked Plextor, and I can tell you from personal experience Iomega's customer service is pretty damn good if you ever have a problem.
