well dont get x1950 cross fire, you'd be better spending the money on 1 8800GTX
and well, for those resolutions your talkin about there simply is no other choice than to go for the 8800GTS, 8800GTS should last you longer at that res than a x1950 can and in some games the GTS is significantly faster than the X1950 (oblivion for example), and although no one has a clue what DX10 performance will be like, it doesnt really matter because the radeon wouldnt be able to do it anyway.
so if you were thinkin on X1950 CF.... id go for the 8800GTX
if you were thinking on the a single X1950 then id go for the 8800GTS
HOCP (
www.hardocp.com) benched the new 8800's with flight sim X and well, the 8800's are the cards to have for that game

only trouble is with the GTS, nvidia really have made the gap between it and the GTX rather large.
usually the next product down from the top just has reduced clocks or a disabled shader quad, but this time they really went to town.....
GTS has 32 less stream processors and they are clocked at a slower 1.2ghz, 64bit smaller memory controller, 128mb less ram, and an overall core clock that is 75mhz shy of the GTX's
so buying the GTS and hoping to OC to bring it up to GTX speeds is gonna be difficult.
not that the GTS is a slow or bad card card or anything though lol
