I've had the RS-850 for a week today. Some of the early reviews on the RS talked about cold start problems, but that was fixed on the 80+-designated units. The reason why I didn't pop for the silencer was because two reviews said that the 80mm fan that PCP&C units use creates dust pockets inside the PSU housing that slowly clogs up the unit, even in the 1k units. As soon as the caps in my 510 SLI cool-down I'm going to open it to see if this is true, and it was starting to run fairly hot. There were a couple of situations where people reported QC problems with the silencer. CoolerMaster seems to want PSU business real bad, so their RMA structure and custormer service is reported as being pretty good. The RS is also the first 6x12v rail PSU, which I thought was pretty cool. So far no problems, and its barely warm to the touch.
