Hyper 212+ Plus for 20$
Or
Zalman CNPS 9900 Max for 15$
Trying to decide which is the better performer and price.

depends on the case and cpu...
if its a thin case... id go with neither and get one which blows air directly to the board.
Its loud.yeah whats wrong with the stock heat sink if u cant overclock?
are you getting really bad thermals off the stock?
Id say keep the stock sink on it, and forget it... it does a fine job @ Stock.
I would go with the CM Hyper 212+ over the Zalman. I've installed both before into builds for people and I prefer the Hyper 212+. The Zalman is decent, but as MontyAC points out it uses a proprietary fan. The Hyper 212+, however, can easily have its fan switched out for a different fan should you want a quieter fan (though the included fan is pretty decent in terms of both cooling and sound).
Two questions for you though...
1.) Where are you purchasing these from as I can't find the Zalman listed anywhere for $15.
2.) I'm curious about how your sig says that you are running 6GB of 1333MHz RAM on a MSI B85M-P33 board. Are you running one or two sticks and what brand are they?
These were offers for buying used.
And 4gb stick and a 2gb stick. They're random sticks, ones Panamea or whatever and another I have no idea.
Pretty much.Does this mean you are running your RAM single channel?
Very much true. I guess I'll just play around with itCM R4 and Noctua aren't PWM so I'd skip those. Not sure if the Corsair fan is better, you could try both that one and the stock fan and compare
I can, very faintly. But this is when the rig is doing DC work.Also..
not sure if srs.. :hmm:
