Well, WinME would probably be my last choice, even if Win95 and Win98 were included, but if you like WinME, I doubt you're gonna like Linux.

Try Win2K, MS's best OS to date IMO.

WinXP is the best. Best hardware support and drivers. My pc's internet performance has increased visibly. Also, the interface, control and software compatibility is good. Great for home usage...

I think "win 3.xx" "Dos w/ Norton Commander" should be removed
and Win2K *BSD MacOS should be add.....

For a win base OS I would say Windows 2000

LOL, I love the doorstop reference for Win9x/ME. Ain't that the truth?

Anyway, in theory, Linux is the best. In practice, I'm using Windows XP Pro right now due to software incompatibility, and in the future, I'm going to switch to Linux+VMWare for my Windows stuff with the benefits of Linux.

Dont hate man! The main purpose of this poll was for me to see how many people enjoy Win XP, and prefer it to Win 9x kernel OS's.
Which is the best OS in general - ie the features, the performance, etc that appeals to you.

Your poll still sucks; you're missing QNX, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, AIX, IRIX, HP-UX, and Windows NT, to name just a few.

(for the sarcastically impaired, this is a joke; very few around here use those OSes, with the exception of the BSDs and possibly WinNT)
