For those getting Sandy Bridge have any of you decided on a motherboard from the ones we have seen so far? Right now I'm leaning towards the Asus P8P67 deluxe version. I'm still waiting for Evga to show their cards.

The Gigabyte GA-P67-UD7 looks pretty rad. Although i will most likely pickup a Rampage Extreme if they are on sale upon release. I've never had any problsm with my current rampage.

Yeah, the GA-P67-UD7 looks pretty sweet. Gigabyte is finally going to offer a board without all the powdered sugar box Blue and White colors. That is the main reason I have never bought a Gigabyte board but I do like the looks of the GA-P67-UD7. Let see what ASUS comes up with.

most likely the gigabyte ud3r, but i will wait to see what else is out around $150. after comparing it looks like it might be worth it to move up to the ud3p for the extra phase power.

I'm only using 1 video card so i only need one pci express slot. I like the Ud7 but the Asus Deluxe has the EFI bios which is why im leaning towards that one.

What's the advantage of an EFI bios? It can boot from partitions larger than 2TB?

I have been debating between Gigabyte UD5/UD7 and Asus P8P67 Deluxe. Leaning towards Asus because of EFI.

The ASUS board for the EFI and it has some good features to it. I've had some issues with Gigabyte boards so this round I'm going to stay away from them. The P8P67 from ASUS is what I'm aiming for.

It's a wash between the P8P67 Pro and UD4 for me. Probably the P8P67 if just because of the cool EFI BIOS... (come on, Gigabyte...)

I made a spreadsheet to try to decide on my end. Mostly correct though there are some mistakes (esp since some spec sheets don't make distinctions between internal and external USB, SATA, etc). Hope someone finds it useful.

I was actually debating whether or not to get an H67 board instead of a P67 one, I like the option of using the on-board graphics in case my discrete gets toast. Locked memory clocks aren't that big a deal for me. I might reconsider if the quality or features-list of H67 boards pale in comparison to their P67 brothers though.

Nice spreadsheet, thanks.

I'm looking for UEFI, with at least 2 Sata III and 2 USB 3.0, preferably 8+ phase for power and something around $150, ugh i remember when top end motherboards used to not go above $150

Wait until the P8P67 goes on sale? I don't see any announcements from Gigabyte about UEFI.

PS Forgot to include the P8P67 (non pro) edition, but apparently it has 2x PCI express (16x, 4x), Sata 3G and 6G, USB 3.0, and the rest. Price is around 160. Could be an option.

Updated spreadsheet with P8P67 (non pro) info.

Can't find any information on the -M, EVO, and LE editions.

Just got the P8P67 EVO (thank you Fry's for carrying it a week early). Was going to get the PRO, but for $20 more and being in stock, I chose the EVO.

From what I can tell, the EVO is exactly like the Deluxe, but is missing the POST LED. The front USB 3.0 bay IS included apparently.

Pictures (unopened box so far):

Nice.
If you get some time when you open the box, to check if the EVO also has the PLX PCIe controller like the Deluxe version of the board.

It should be located just below the first PCIe x16 socket.

Did you order online or did you pick up at a local store?

The ud4/ud5 only has 2 sata 6g connectors not 4 http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=263696

Corrected.

The PLX chip expands the number of available PCI-express lanes (presumably allowing the PCIE slot to be 8x as opposed to 4x). http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/printpage/ASUS-P8P67-Deluxe-Motherboard/1149

Presumably the EVO has the PLX chip because it supports 3 PCIE slots in a 16x, 8x, and 4x config. Haven't opened it yet so can't confirm.

Any thoughts on the ASRock P67 Extreme4? I am particularly looking for a board that will have UEFI as well as Crossfire/SLI support, but I don't know if ponying up the extra $20-30 for the P8P67 Pro would be worth it here, as my budget is a bit limited.
