Which pci gpu will suit a celeron 1.7 ghz

my sister has a celeron `1.7 ghz with 128 mb ram. she wants to get into some light gaming so i figure changing her gpu is the best option. i am looking for something that can play old games (like racing or CS) well. i don;t expect that computer to do anything big.

i thought i'd get a geforce 2 or geforce 3 but searching on google i found so many things and since i don't know much i can't figure out which are good or not.
i'd appreciate if the producty can be found on zipzoomfly cuz of the free shipping (since my brother is gonna order this and he hates shipping cost)

I don't know what kind of memory a computer of that age would take, but I'd think 128MB is not really adequate for any kind of gaming. Unless it is memory format that is rare enough to be expensive, I'd look at memory increase first.

PCI cards are pretty rare these days... Last time I needed a decent PCI card about 9 months ago, FX5500 was the best price/performance card. Not the best card, but the best value for a PCI PC. There were better cards, though, so maybe they dropped in price by now. And, of course, a lot depends on how much you want to spend - putting a lot of money into PCI card is not a wise investment.

PCI is its own bottleneck all by itself, so nothing particularly fast is ever released in that interface. I think there might be an ATI 9550 from one or two brands, and that is a lot closer to being a 9200 than to being a 9600. (Well, maybe it was a 9250 that I saw?) If you can find one, the 128 Bit Geforce 6200, at about $100, is the top-performing PCI VGA card.

I haven't seen benches on it, but the PCI 6200 looks like it is probably the fastest one available.

There weren't any R9500/9600-based PCI cards that I know of (unless it's a newer product); the R8500/9100 were the best PCI-based video cards from ATI that I'm aware of. There are also RADEON 9000/9200s, but they are slower than the 8500/9100 (don't ask).

There are also Geforce FX5500 and 5700LEs in PCI. A GF3Ti would probably also work, if you can find one. A GF4MX would be slower but servicable for older games.
